After three years of hard work I’m excited to announce my new album. The Volume in the Ground will be released digitally on May 17, 2011. You’ll be able to get it anywhere that digital songs are sold. The album features some of my closest friends and many of the musicians I admire the most. Twenty three people got involved from all over the country to lend their voices and talents. It’s hard to explain how lucky I feel. After a lot of thinking and searching I’ve decided to put the album out myself on my own Winners Never Sleep records. The music world is at the mercy of the independents and what I’m doing is no exception. The success that I’ve had with music has been solely because of meeting people face to face. Playing on sturdy and broken stages and staying true to the DIY mindset. I respect anyone who does the same. This album is a new beginning for me as a musician. I went to new places and pushed myself to be better and give more. My hope is that you’ll be able to feel that.

We’ve set up a mailing list to keep you up to date with everything that’s happening and where I’ll be. I’m planning on touring again as soon as things get moving. The incentive for signing up for the mailing list is that when you do you’ll a free download of one of the new songs from the album as a Thank You. From us to you.There’s a sign up form right on the home page of this site.

Every week until the release we’ll be letting more of this see the light of day. Stay tuned and  we won’t disappoint.

I’m waiting on the official date, but as of right now I know it’s going to be May. We’re also going to posting various videos and podcasts about the album in the coming weeks. Since so many people were involved in making the album we put together a string of clips having everyone explain their roles. It will be interesting AND educational. You can’t beat that.

A tour of New England is in the works as well. If you know of any spots of the beaten path that would be good for a show please let us know at shows@winnersneversleep.com
